9月18日を持ちまして、4月から行って参りました京都市国際交流会館でのワークショップは全日程を終了致しました。無事に終える事が出来ましたのも、皆様からのご参加、ご声援、サポートがあったからこそと実感しております。ありがとうございました。綿久リネン株式会社様から材料ご提供も頂き、御礼申し上げます。

日本の方のみならず、様々な国の方からご参加を頂きました。在住・ご旅行に関わらず、皆さんとお会い出来た事、嬉しく思っています。英語や日本語、時に中国語やスペイン・フランス語など、他言語が飛び交う楽しい時間でしたね。ぞうり作りを通して、皆様の笑顔を共有出来た事に全ての実りがあると思っています。

どうぞこれからもご自分がお作りになったぞうりを可愛がってあげて下さいね！そしてまたいつか、どこかでお会い出来ます事を楽しみにしています。

All the classes through this summer at Kyoto International Foundation have been successfully finished. I’d like to thank all of you who showed up to taste this Japanese modern craft. I’ve enjoyed meeting every one of you since the first class kicked off on April 3. Beyond our nationalities, we shared the time and the experience through the zori-making workshop which I always feel this is the most important and precious time of living the life together.

This workshop will be no longer available for the next season, but I hope you keep up with more classes to come at Kyoto International Foundation and see you someday soon!                                                                       

A big thank-you note to Watakyu-linen,.Co. for their support, generously donating the old Yukata for the material. It definitely means so much to me and surely added extra luxury to reform something traditional into zori.
